Our system uses Jig controled water cooled low speed sharpening. This is better than dry high speed systems. There is no heat generated. Heat (or sparks) can cause the steel to loose it's hardness. Our system is safe.
Another advantage we offer is that we can precisely control the angle of sharpening to your edged tool. Or, we can sharpen the blade to your custom specifications. Or, we can adjust the angle to it's current form. We can do all this +- only 1 degree.
Most utility blades are sharpened at a 40 degree bevel. This is true for kitchen knives and Sporting Knives.
After we sharpen your Knife, your blade is then ground on a patened leather honing wheel to remove any burrs and polish the edge to a razor sharp finish. This provides a blade that will stay sharp longer and cut better.
On Tactical Knives with a "Blued" finish our polishing process will not remove any of the "blued" finish when we polish the blade because of precise measurements. We can set the angle of degree on the patened leather honing wheel as well.
